Dr. Shindana Feagins
A native of Los Angeles, CA; she has been a physician in private practice for nearly fifteen years. Prior to becoming a physician, she worked for the LA Unified School District as a middle school teacher for 3 years. Her love of writing poetry has enabled her to author two children’s books – Poems for My Children (2010) and We Have Such In Common (2015).
Dr. Feagins currently works part time as the Medical Director for Trousdale Turner Correctional Center where she provides medical care for sick inmates. She is a practicing Internist in solo practice in Nashville, TN and at Feagins Medical Group which she owns and operates. She is also the owner of House Call Professionals, Health MD and Walk With Your Doctor Weight Loss.
She is the founder and CEO of Rezolve Wellness Center which is a non-profit organization that helps low income individuals lose weight through her 12 week program, at no cost to them.
She is also the founder and CEO of a company called, We Have Such In Common, Inc, which promotes harmony among children, regardless of differences in socioeconomic background, ethnicity, beliefs, color of skin, texture of hair, etc. The company encourages children to accept their differences while celebrating their similarities through literacy, visual arts and music. She is a former 2013 Athena Award Nominee, a 2013 Recipient of the Gospel Music City Business Woman of the Year Award and 2014 recipient of the Legacy Award.
She is a graduate of the University of Southern California and Meharry Medical College and resides in Old Hickory, Tennessee with her husband and two children.
